So, Adele’s album 21 is undeniably the most successful album of the century. Its an incredible album and still my favourite by her to date.

Every now and then I take a look at the stats of this album and it always amazes me. I was a bit younger then obviously, but I remember absolutely everyone had the CD, Adele seemed to be everywhere. I’ve tried to read up on this but I’ve never came across a good answer; just what was it about this album that captivated the world? I think what comes up a lot is just how different it was from the dance-pop sound of the era, but there must be more reasons than that!! I think her Brits performance was also really significant.

Anyways, 21 is still one of my favorite albums ever, this could just be a general thread about the album I guess. Funny, if anyone here remembers the singer Rumer out around the same time as Adele, I used to think “Rumor Has It” was a diss track about her πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
